Graduate from University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in Criminology, Law and Society in 2015. Additionally I minored in Film and Media Studies. Before UC Irvine, I attended Pasadena City College from 2010-13, before transferring out. For high school, I went to Arcadia High School and graduated in 2010.
Experience
In order to attain my degree, I needed to take diverse college course loads in criminology, psychology, sociology, American legal history, and film study classes. Additionally, to pass those classes, I had to write numerous essays on differing topics, such as my senior paper on crime as it applies to national parks and ecosystems in the United States. I also had to write multiple personal statements for college applications, resulting in my being accepted and attending UC Irvine. I am confident in my ability to tutor children because of my past experience in teaching physical education to elementary school students through a course in high school. During my time at UC Irvine, I worked as a campus tour guide. I familiarized visitors about UC Irvine, application questions, and general questions about college life. Hobbies
My main hobbies are basketball, reading, and short film making. I have always loved everything basketball from playing it to watching it on television. That was a way for me to get closer to my family and to this day I use it as an avenue to create to relationships with people on and off the court. So whenever I get the chance to go to a game in person, it's truly a treat for me. My second hobby I love to do in my free time is to read. I read as much as I can possibly have time for, from fictional works, to biographies, to even comic books. I find this helps my vocabulary increase, but also it lets me escape to a place that sometimes doesn't exist. My hobby into film making is a relatively new thing I've learned I love doing. I didn't discover my passion for it until I entered college and had to take elective courses. I've always loved watching films and discussing them with the people around me, but only until recently have I been trying to create them myself with my friends. Hopefully one day I can be a part of a big Hollywood blockbuster with people I've admired since I was little.
